CodeFish Studio bases its work on a relationship of trust with its customers, however this is always strengthened and formalised with the inclusion of Non Disclosure Agreements. At project conception an NDA is necessary to protect an idea or concept that is formulated through conversations about project scope and possible innovation in products / services that are jointly or sometimes wholly created by CodeFish Studio or the customer. An NDA is typically used when a client needs to entrust CodeFish Studio to allow for the company to submit a relevant fee proposal.
As we move past the Fee Proposal stage of a project, and into Design and Development, the CodeFish Studio Client Agreement must always outline and include the agreements surrounding IP for that particular project.
It is very rare that truly unique ideas come out of a project and as such there is rarely a significant investment in protecting IP for each and every project. However, an informed assessment of each project by the Director, ensures that our projects are always protected to an appropriate level. This also includes the registration of Patents where applicable.
